Google launches cloud-computing based Apps Marketplace
Posted on 10 March 2010 by Andrej Shevchenko
During yesterday’s Campfire One developer event, Google has launched its Apps Marketplace with 50 applications available from third-party vendors.
The new App Marketplace will integrate with Google Apps and offer products and services like Intuit Online Payroll, Zoho projects, Bookfresh, etc.
In the last three years Google Apps has reached over 2 million businesses across the globe, what makes App Marketplace an important addition to the overall offering.
Google stated that it will charge 3rd-party developers $100 for selling their applications in the marketplace, which supports OpenID and OAuth – open standards for authorizing developers and customers.
