iPad vs Chrome OS? Cloud computing war may occur…

Google Chrome OS netbooks may have a rival – Apple’s iPad. The device, which as Apple CEO Steve Jobs described it, is like ‘holding the Internet in your hand’ may challenge Google for cloud computing, if it becomes as popular as the Apple iPhone or Apple iPod.
The iPad has been promised till now as a “compelling mobile internet experience”. This 9.7 inch screen device will be a multipurpose device that will allow users to play iTunes, read iBooks, watch iShows and engage in iChats, on the go – thereby becoming a middle ground between an iPhone and a laptop.
This is what the Google Chrome OS netbooks are also going to be geared at. These netbooks are also promised to let the user hold the internet in their hands, thereby leading to overlapping branded technology.
But such an overlap can also create a consumer quandary. What device should they go for? Should they wait for the Google Chrome OS netbooks that may be cheaper and better, or go straight ahead and purchase the $499 iPad? [Apple iPad Challenges Google's Chrome Cloud Computing Designs]
